As the Director of Attorney Recruitment, you will have a pivotal role in shaping the firm's future by attracting top legal talents and leading innovative recruitment strategies. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the firm's leadership, influencing attorney hiring and development practices while promoting a culture of continuous professional advancement. The role allows a hybrid working schedule based in either Oakland, Los Angeles, or San Diego, providing flexibility and a balance between personal and professional life.
Salary: $195,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategically lead the firm’s attorney recruiting efforts spanning lateral hires and summer associate programs.
- Develop, refine, and execute recruitment strategies to bolster the firm's brand and presence in the legal market.
- Manage the attorney onboarding and integration process to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the firm’s environment.
- Oversee and enhance professional development programs that support career growth and skill enhancement for attorneys.
- Work collaboratively with firm leadership to evaluate and plan for future hiring needs and strategic talent acquisition.
- Sustain relationships with key legal education institutions, recruiters, and industry professionals to foster a robust recruiting network.
- Guarantee recruitment processes are compliant with legal standards and the firm’s policies.
- Provide detailed reports and analytics on recruitment metrics, diversity initiatives, and retention rates to stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor the recruitment support staff, encouraging a learning and growth-centric atmosphere.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in attorney recruiting or professional development within a legal firm setting.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required for consideration.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record in managing recruitment teams and processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, legal recruiting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with an aptitude for managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in recruitment, retention, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative attorney recruitment strategies is desirable.
- Strong understanding of the legal industry and current market trends in attorney hiring.
- Familiarity with diversity recruitment strategies and programs that enhance workplace inclusion.
