A prestigious law firm located in California, with offices in Oakland, Los Angeles, and San Diego, seeks a dynamic Director of Attorney Recruitment. This leadership role is pivotal in enhancing the firm's talent acquisition strategy, focusing on bringing in top-tier legal professionals to ensure the firm’s standing as an industry leader in legal services. Salary: $195,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of attorney recruiting initiatives focused on both lateral hires and summer associate programs.
- Strategize and enhance the firm's recruiting brand across various markets to attract premier legal talent.
- Manage the attorney onboarding and integration processes, ensuring new hires transition smoothly into their roles.
- Create, implement, and oversee professional development programs aimed at fostering attorney growth and satisfaction within the firm.
- Work closely with firm leadership to identify and plan for the firm's long-term attorney hiring needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including law schools, legal recruiters, and industry professionals.
- Ensure all recruiting activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and firm policies.
- Supervise and mentor recruitment support staff, promoting a culture of continuous professional development.
- Analyze and report on key recruitment metrics to drive improvements in diversity initiatives and retention strategies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in attorney recruiting or related fields, particularly within a law firm environment.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Comprehensive understanding of the legal recruiting landscape and proven ability to implement effective recruiting strategies.
- Strong leadership qualities with demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff.
- Exceptional communicator with robust interpersonal skills to foster relationships and build networks.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Independently motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of both team collaboration and autonomous project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in recruitment, retention, or professional development.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and legal recruiting software is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in previous recruitment roles.
