Director of Attorney Recruitment

As the Director of Attorney Recruitment, you will strategically enhance the firm’s recruiting brand and directly collaborate with top firm leadership to shape the organization's future.

Salary: $195,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and lead the attorney recruitment process for both lateral hires and summer associate programs.
  • Enhance and promote the firm’s recruitment brand while ensuring market visibility.
  • Effectively manage the attorney onboarding and integration processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive professional development programs to nurture talent within the firm.
  • Work in collaboration with firm leadership to identify and plan recruitment strategies based on the firm’s long-term goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key legal educational institutions, recruiters, and professionals within the industry.
  • Ensure all recruitment practices are compliant with firm policies and established legal standards.
  • Accurately manage and report on recruitment metrics, incorporating diversity initiatives and retention strategies.
  • Oversee recruitment support staff, providing mentoring and development opportunities.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of robust experience in attorney recruitment or professional development within a law firm environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is essential for consideration for this position.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities paired with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adeptness in developing and leading innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Solid proficiency with various legal recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational qualities with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Capability to perform both independently and as a part of a team in a dynamic work setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in recruitment, retention, or related fields is highly advantageous.
