Crop Inputs Procurement
We are working with an ag retail organization seeking a Director of Agronomy Procurement for their team. This role will oversee $150 million in crop inputs purchases, where they will manage all of the organization's vendor management, purchasing, inventory control, and compliance for the agronomy department. This position is a critical role in the success of this company and is, therefore, a key role on the leadership team.

This role will be responsible for
- Overseeing all the crop inputs procurement, inventory, and logistics for the agronomy department
- Managing vendor relationships and optimizing purchasing strategies
- Creating and monitoring budget performance for agricultural inputs
- Leading and training staff on proper chemical handling procedures and compliance
- Ensuring efficient operations and staffing needs across agronomy facilities
- Developing and implementing safety and environmental procedures
- Addressing complex customer concerns and ensuring service excellence
- Creating detailed inventory and financial reports for internal stakeholders

A qualified candidate will possess the following
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in agronomy, agriculture business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in crop inputs purchasing and inventory management
- Proven leadership, budgeting, and product compliance experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills—written and verbal—with a customer-centric approach
Compensation: Base salary for this role is a highly competitive range depending on experience, with an incentive plan that can provide an additional 40% of the base salary
