Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, Transloading and Distribution for a leading truckload and intermodal third-party logistics organization operating with over 180 locations. Providing world class multi-channel solutions to help companies scale.
The Director of Warehouse Operations will be responsible for up to 4 locations with direct reports from each facility across the western region. Providing operational guidance for the company while working with the executive team and field level management teams. Reviews and implements innovative plans for the control of planned outputs, budgetary resources, labor efficiency and customer service goals. Reviews performance against operating plans and standards. Develops and recommends corporate operations policy within the Operations Department. Defines and recommends objectives in each area of Operations. Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates. Reviews and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts. Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the corporation in establishing and carrying out responsibilities. Reviews and approves the setting of budgets throughout the Operations Department. Reviews and approves Operations major projects involving major functional changes within the Department's functional areas. Develops plans in conjunctions with IT Dept. for new areas of technology for the functions along with sufficient planning for areas that support the mission of the Corporation within Operations. Challenge is to motivate and lead staff and program operational needs while decreasing cost, improving profitability and client relationships.

Background Required:
  • Progressive Multi-Site Sr. Level Distribution and Warehouse Operations Leadership & Management (7 years)
  • Sector Experience: (Fulfillment, Consumer Goods, Retail, etc.)
  • Development and execution of strategy / annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOP’s, customer plans, workshops, etc.)
  • Long term experience with KPI reporting development and possess a continuous improvement mentality
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes with internal and external customers in a third-party environment
  • Proven results developing strong relationships with C level clientele
  • P&L experience, Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Employee training and development
  • Continuous Improvement Quality process (i.e. Six Sigma, ISO, Lean)
  • Technology - WMS
  • Travel: up to 50%
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Residence: Reno, NV, Tacoma, WA
Background Preferred (but not required):
