Commercial Operations Remote (U.S.-based)
A late‑stage biopharmaceutical organization preparing for U.S. commercialization is seeking a Director, U.S. Commercial Data, Systems & Digital Experience to build and scale commercial data, systems, and digital capabilities. This role will play a critical leadership position in launch planning and enablement, supporting the establishment of a best‑in‑class commercial infrastructure.
The role reports into Commercial Operations leadership and partners cross‑functionally across U.S. and global teams.
Role Summary
The Director, U.S. Commercial Data, Systems & Digital Experience will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial data, systems, and digital roadmap in support of product launch and ongoing commercialization. This individual will ensure data is connected, reliable, compliant, and actionable across the organization while delivering a seamless digital experience for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute commercial launch planning by designing, implementing, and maintaining an integrated data, systems, and digital roadmap to support commercialization
- Partner with senior commercial leadership to support strategic positioning, growth, innovation, and differentiation across the U.S. commercial organization
- Ensure consistent, timely, and compliant data capture and connectivity across functions to drive value for healthcare providers, patients, payers, and internal teams
- Build and lead capability development across core commercial functions, including operations, market access, product launch, patient services, digital engagement, commercial analytics, marketing, and sales
- Act as a trusted advisor to cross‑functional stakeholders, guiding and co‑creating scalable processes and capabilities during commercial build‑out
- Collaborate closely with IT operations and architecture teams to lead systems integration and deliver a user‑friendly commercial digital ecosystem
- Oversee day‑to‑day commercial data and application operations while simultaneously driving system enhancements and project delivery
- Manage and coordinate multiple external vendors, including governance, delivery oversight, and performance management
- Establish and scale digital capabilities including:
- Data warehousing and analytics platforms
- Data acquisition and integration (internal and external)
- Master Data Management (HCP, patient, product, payer/plan)
- CRM and field force automation (sales, medical)
- Campaign and engagement automation
- Data visualization and dashboards
- Learning management systems
- Consent management, privacy, and compliance
- Non‑personal promotion and digital engagement tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or specialty life sciences industry
- 3–5 years of experience leading IT, commercial systems, or application functions
- 3–5 years of experience implementing and scaling CRM and/or Sales Force Automation platforms
- Demonstrated success building commercial processes and infrastructure from the ground up within a startup or emerging company environment
- Proven ability to influence across levels and functions without direct authority
- Experience working with specialty distribution models and patient‑level data
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights

The base salary range for this role starts at $200,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including but not limited to depth of experience, skill set, overall performance, and education. Base salary is just one component of a competitive total compensation and rewards package.
