Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP of Sales for a transportation software solutions provider.

The Director, Truckload Sales is responsible for developing new business and manages existing accounts for the company’s truckload software solution. Hunter responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve sales targets within the truckload asset-based carrier market. Consultative 6-month to 1-year sales cycle creating opportunities for product team to demo software. Territory is North America. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships over the phone, with in-person meetings, and at trade shows and conferences. Understands market trends. Interacting with sales leads, product architects, internal cross-functional management team members, and key customers. Partnering with current and potential customers to understand their business needs and objectives and acts as a liaison between Sales and Product Development. Extending the product by gathering requirements from prospects, evaluators and customers, identifying market requirements and working with business analysts to create requirement documents and product roadmaps. Acting as an advocate for new solutions directed at the truckload marketplace. Proactively seeking and educating prospective customers in the supply chain, financial, transportation, IT implementation and logistics industries on all products and services and how they add strategic value to the product offerings and-or Services of these organizations. The challenge is to increase revenue & maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Truckload transportation (sales, operations) (5 years)
  • National sales account management
  • Transportation financial acumen (P&L, pricing, cost, OR)
  • Planned, developed, & executed strategic business plans for products-services
  • Time & territory management reporting processes (CRM, i.e.: MS Dynamics, Salesforce)
  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite)
  • Ability to travel: up to 50%
  • Location: Atlanta Metro South (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Truckload (broker, shipper)
  • Sold discretionary products, services, & technologies into commercial trucking
  • Software sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Technology
