Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP, Logistics of a privately held, asset-based company specializing in logistics and transportation freight services.
The Director, Training & Development will establish and manage core training and development programs including on boarding new hires, sales training, phone skills, systems training in a fast-paced start up environment. Ability to author and create specific training and management development tools and repeatable process. Large geographic responsibility and will utilize state of the art remote training where applicable. Ability to train and develop multiple levels of the organization. Will make recommendations and institute programs that allow individuals to achieve. Will coach, develop personnel. Challenge is to assure employees receive effective training in a timely manner.

Background Required:
  • Progressive responsibility in Training and Development within Logistics (6+ years)
  • Proven background implementing training and development methodologies
  • Large geographic responsibility
  • New hire on-boarding programs
  • Develop & manage KPI’s (i.e. material retention, follow up, advanced training, evaluations)
  • Tele-Sales training
  • Computer literate (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Education: College Graduate-BA or BS
  • Travel: Up to 50% to company offices
  • Residence: USA (close to regional offices)
