Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO of a leading global logistics & forwarding services provider specializing in innovative shipping management solutions. Our client is HQ’d in New York and has steadily expanded, opening locations throughout the USA, Turkey, India, China, Mexico & Russia with 30+ offices and more than 400+ team members globally. They have evolved from a traditional international freight forwarder to one of the leading global providers of innovative and fully integrated supply chain solutions who will continuously enhance its ambitions and will be very aggressive in pursuing continuous growth in the coming years.
The Director, Talent Management will have a primary focus to establish, implement and integrate best talent management practices and processes across our clients organization. Will manage talent functions across every phase of the employee life cycle to include hiring, onboarding, talent & leadership development, internal mobility, recognition & rewards, performance management, and engagement. A key responsibility of the role will be to drive how our client measures and supports performance and how they engage, develop and retain high-potential talent. The goal is to ensure our clients highly talented team continues to develop and be successful as they accelerate their growth.

Background Required:
  • Talent development/management or organizational development (8+ years)
  • Developed and executed end-to-end talent management strategies
  • Developed data driven measurables to inform and measure talent strategy & effectiveness
  • Strong research and data analytic skills
  • Knowledge of talent management systems and tools
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Education: BA or BS Degree Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, (or equivalent experience)
  • Residence: Commutable to Garden City, NY
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Freight forwarding or logistics experience
  • PHR, SPHR, or GPHR preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Education: Advanced degree
