The system is most proud of its brand new, state-of-the-art 99-bed hospital featuring 68 acute rehabilitation beds, 6 intensive care unit beds, and 25 medical surgical beds. They are pleased to offer our community a completely renovated 20-acre campus as well as expanding satellite centers. It is a unique place designed to provide an optimal environment for physical restoration and healing as well as medical and surgical care.
The have engaged our firm to identify and recruit a Director of Surgical Services due to expansion and growth.
The hospital is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to join the Nursing leadership team as it expands their current hospital to include Surgical Services, Intensive Care and a Medical/Surgical unit. The director will have oversight of three, state-of-the-art operating rooms, a specialty procedure room, pre-operative care unit, post-anesthesia unit and sterile processing. The director is responsible for developing policies and procedures, creating job descriptions, implementing a perioperative electronic health record, creating workflows and hiring, managing and educating staff.
The Director of Surgical Services will support organizational goals and decisions, be responsible for budget oversight and participate in strategic planning.
Requirements:
- Current California Registered Nurse license, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Master’s Degree is preferred.
- CNOR certification required.
- Must have working knowledge of AORN, AAMI and APIC standards, as well as CMS and TJC regulations.
- Three year’s recent management experience required.
