A well-respected, growing nonprofit community hospital in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead and grow a multi-specialty perioperative department that performs over 4500 annual procedures. This is a high-impact role with oversight for the Surgical Services Department, with the opportunity to launch a brand new DaVinci robot, drive operational efficiency, and strengthen team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for all surgical services operations with a team of 70 FTE's (including a strong support team of dedicated RN Managers, a Sterile Processing Supervisor and Department Educator)

• Oversee strategic direction, performance management for perioperative departments, develop and implement growth plans with incoming surgeons across multiple specialties

• Launch and manage a new da Vinci robotic surgery program

• Partner with medical staff and hospital leadership to enhance patient care and service quality

• Standardize processes to improve OR efficiency and throughput

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN required; Master’s is preferred)

• Minimum three (3) years of perioperative leadership experience, preferably as a Director

• Proven track record of operational improvements and program development

• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build team trust and accountability

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary up to $160K (based on experience) + annual Director level bonus incentive up to 10%
