They have received special recognition for quality by the Joint Commission this year and won a Consumer Choice award for hospitals from the National Research Council.

They have an opening for a true "A" player to spearhead their rapidly expanding Surgical Services department with responsibility over 200+ FTEs!

The Director of Patient Care Services is responsible for the administrative and clinical operations of specific departments and/or patient care areas. Using a process of consultation and collaboration with management members, the director establishes goals and objectives that complement overall corporate and hospital goals. Provides the structure for maintaining a safe, efficient, and effective patient care delivery system. Maintains clear communication with administration, physicians and all health team members to foster a team approach for patient care. Uses the nursing process to manage organization change and implement nursing care delivery systems and/or standards of care. Participate in organized activities to help the work site maintain quality, cost effective workflow and service to clients.

· Master’s Degree in Health related field required, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with current enrollment in a Master’s program with a completion date of no more than 36 months from hire.

· Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California

· A minimum of ten years of nursing experience of which at least 5 years is in progressive management roles.
