Our client is a 160+ bed acute care facility serving the Southern Sequoia region of the Central Valley. This state of the art medical center employs expert care teams and utilizes cutting-edge technology, equipment, and facilities to bring the best possible care to their patients. Our client provides exceptional healthcare services to their patients and focuses on creating a comfortable, welcoming, and compassionate environment.

They currently have an opening for a leader to manager their hospital based SNF unit.

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the VP Patient Care Services and guidance of the Medical Director, the Director of DP/SNF is responsible for the overall operational and financial management of the department. The Director is a liaison between medical, nursing, and administrative staff, and is responsible for utilizing available resources to establish and maintain an integrated direction towards personalized, quality patient care.

Must have three (3) years of experience or more as a Director of Nursing (DON) in a Skilled Nursing Facility. A Master's Degree in a healthcare related field is highly preferred. A national certification in a related field as determined by the respective VP within 90 days of acceptance of the position (time frame for completion of the certification will also be determined by the VP). Two (2) years of clinical experience in specialty area. Member of at least one (1) professional nursing organization.

  • Must have 3-6years of experience in the Director of Nursing (DON) role in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Must have 2 years of nursing bedside clinical experience in a specialty area.
  • Understands California CDPH and CMS rules and regulations.
  • Must be action oriented and have a servant leadership skillset.
  • Must be an authentic leader that engages employees positively and sets a positive work environment.
  • Must work autonomously with minimal guidance on core DON responsibilities an meet deadlines and manage competing priorities from various stakeholders both within and outside the DP-SNF Unit.
