Position Responsibilities: Reporting to the VP, Sales of a national truckload carrier.
The Director, Sales is a hunter who strategically secures scheduled-truckload new business. Will be responsible for the development and signing of profitable new business, additional business, and maintaining new accounts. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including suspect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, and presentation(s), start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Challenge is to increase revenues and improve profitability.
Transportation account executive (4 years)
National account exposure
Proven track record of producing profitable growth
Chemical industry, safety and time sensitive
Pricing logic & analysis
Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, MS Office, Outlook)
Residence: Home Office, USA
Background Preferred (but not required):
Education: Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation)
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
Excellent communications (written, oral and presentation)
Road warrior (travel as needed)
