Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO for a regional transportation provider.

The Director, Dedicated Sales hunts for new dedicated contract carriage opportunities. The goal is to bring on 5 to 6 new dedicated customers generating $10-12 million dollars of dedicated business annually. Identifies, nurtures, and supports the delivery of new dedicated opportunities that result in substantial growth in market share, revenues, and margin. Additionally, ensures movement of opportunities to close, as well as to develop pipeline activity. Engages internal partners effectively to improve win rates for the dedicated sales and delivery of selected deals. Meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue sales objectives. Advocates for customers and help drive a customer service mentality within the company. Utilizes superior communications skills to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, managers, and clients. Develops, implements, and tracks sales metrics on a regular basis for visual understanding of performance against plan elements. Requires up to 30 % travel.

  • National account experience
  • Pricing logic & analysis
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Residence: Minneapolis–Saint Paul (home office environment)
