We are looking for a Director, SEC Reporting to work for our client in Akron. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

- Oversee the preparation of all SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks
- Ensure that all filings are accurate and in compliance with SEC rules and regulations
- Manage the SEC reporting team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SEC regulations
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits and reviews
- Monitor and analyze changes in SEC reporting requirements and ensure that the company is prepared to comply with new regulations
- Work with other departments, including finance, legal, and investor relations, to provide accurate and timely information for SEC filings
- Review and interpret financial statements and disclosures for compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in SEC reporting, accounting, or auditing required
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience in managing a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities
