Our client is a multi-site community teaching health care system which provides a wide range of medical, surgical, gynecological, dental, psychiatric, pediatric and other services throughout Central Brooklyn, New York. The institution operates a modernized 300 bed hospital facility along with a network of ambulatory care clinics stretching across Central Brooklyn.

They have engaged our firm to identify a rockstar Director Risk Management to help take this service to the next level.

The Director will be responsible for risk identification, evaluation, and coordination and implementation of corrective action related to hospital wide risk issues. Provides risk management education and intervention, promotes safe work environment. Directs hospital wide risk programs and reports all potential risk situations, and corrective measures in coordination with the respective parties to the CEO or designee. Assists the hospital attorneys in preparing malpractice briefs to mitigate hospital expenditures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Care Management or related field
• Certification in Risk management preferred
• Three (3) year’s experience in Nurse Management
• Three (3) year’s experience in Risk Management, Insurance Procurement/Purchasing and Medical Malpractice
