Director, Regulatory Affairs

Our client - a fast-growing water supply and resource management business located in the Phoenix, Arizona area - is looking to fill the role of Director, Regulatory Affairs. The position will have day-to-day responsibility for managing the company’s Regulatory Affairs and will provide regular interface with both internal and external stakeholders involved in the regulatory process.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage company’s regulatory filings, proceedings and related activity
  • Lead the process for developing and supporting company’s ratemaking and regulatory strategy
  • Lead and supervise Regulatory Affairs team
  • Initiate and maintain company’s relationship with regulatory authorities and key stakeholders
  • Participate in regulatory proceedings and speak on behalf of the company
  • Interact and communicate with company executive management and internal functions which impact regulatory process

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as management, communications, finance or accounting or public policy
  • 10 years’ experience in regulated utility setting
  • Advanced degrees and certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Supervisory experience desired
