Director Radiology and Imaging Services

Our client is part of one of the largest and most prestigious health systems in the United States.

They have engaged our firm to help them identify a visionary leader to help take their Radiology and Imaging services to the next level.

The position reports directly to the Vice President, Ancillary Services and will have a 60 FTE's including supervisors, leads and staff.

The position will responsible for the care and well-being of patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures and staff working in the vicinity of radiation-producing equipment. It is the incumbent’s role to maximize resource utilization and achieve organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation for cost effective care and quality clinical outcomes. The Director ensures compliance with established organizational, professional and accreditation standards and state/federal laws and regulations.

The selected candidate is responsible for short- and long-range planning, staffing, and development of a budget for the departments. Establishes policies, procedures, standards, and objectives for the departments consistent with organization's goals and for efficient operations of Imaging Services. Works collaboratively to accomplish goals and objectives, evaluate performance and maintain total quality management, to provide optimal levels of care to patients and hospital staff, while maintaining 24-hour accountability for operations. They will also participate in the Health System Imaging Council and other System initiatives

Requirements:

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Business or HealthCare Administration (Required), combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of master’s degree.
  • Completion of Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Registered with A.R.R.T. or Certification by State of Maryland in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience in a full imaging department in acute care setting; multimodality experience preferred.

Experience and Skills (Required):

  • Ten years of imaging experience, with at least five years progressive management experience.
  • Strong Verbal and written Communications Skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Proven Computer Skills (Microsoft Office) and working knowledge of Imaging Information Systems (PACS & Epic preferred).
