Our client is a compassionate, dedicated community hospital providing a full range of medical care to residents of its service areas for more than a century. Health care services provided at our acute and specialty care hospital include an award-winning Cardiology Department and catheterization lab, an award-winning Stroke Center, a state-of-the-art Wound Healing Center, the Family Beginnings Birthing Center and the Uniontown Hospital Center for Weight Loss Surgery.
The financially sound hospital has over 175 beds and 200 medical staff in over 30 specialties.
They have an immediate opening for a Director of Quality to lead an already strong department to new heights of service excellence.
This position provides leadership and direction for the development and enhancement of systems which support the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of hospital-wide Performance Improvement, Continuing Medical Education, Infection Control, Clinical Risk, Patient Safety and Quality Management functions.
Education/Knowledge Requirements
Prerequisites:
- State licensure as a professional registered nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
Essential Job-Related Experience:
- Five (5) years health care management experience
- Two (2) years use of quality processes and measurement techniques
- Two (2) years use of computerized information systems
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory accrediting agencies standards and experience with ensuring compliance
