Our client, a growing force in the Canadian hemp processing industry, provides a range of sustainable, high-quality hemp products for distribution throughout North America and around the globe. They are becoming world leaders in whole hemp plant utilization, including food, industrial products and nutraceuticals. Their 15,000 square foot facility in Saskatoon is home to both GFSI certified hemp food production facility (hemp de-hulling, protein milling/sifting), as well a state-of-the-art CBD extraction facility. In addition to their Saskatoon facility, our client has a reduced flower and leaf facility in which they convert broad-acre farmed baled biomass into a high-quality extraction-ready product. Together, our client is amongst the first in North America to commercialize the full value of the industrial hemp plant.

They require a Director of QA/QC immediately to take on and oversee the work of testing, meeting regulatory requirements and completing SOP requirements. In this role, you’ll work in collaboration with the senior team in the Saskatoon processing and testing facility.

To be considered for this key role, your background includes:

• Strong experience with QA programs such as GAP, GPP, GLP, GMP, HACCP / ISO22000, and GFSI (Primus specifically)
• Post secondary education/experience specializing in the natural sciences (organic chemistry, biochemistry, plant biology, microbiology) AND
• 2+ years of work experience as a QA person in a production environment (dry goods, grain processing, etc).
