About Our Client

Our client, an international creative agency, is looking to hire a Director, Paid Search to join their team. The Director, Paid Search will be responsible for managing search engine optimization while analyzing the search data, to provide Search Engine Marketing the ability to analyze, draw and develop recommendations.


Responsibilities:

The Director, Paid Search will perform a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:

  • Develop, build, and manage client relationships by demonstrating Search expertise across a broad array of accounts
  • Set and manage expectations of clients and internal teams
  • Develop a Paid Search strategy and testing methodology and roadmap for clients and collaborate with media strategy/planning teams to advise, create and manage paid search media recommendations across multiple clients
  • Lead the development of processes, best practices, training and learning agendas for the team and the company
  • Lead cross-learning sessions across manager-level team members and below
  • Manage subset of Search team across multiple clients, establishing/refining processes for creating, implementing, tracking, analyzing and optimizing Paid Search campaigns in Google, Bing, Amazon and other search engines
  • Manage and mentor more junior Search resources, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, efficient campaigns and their continuing development as professionals
  • Manage daily relationships with key search engine representatives
  • Provide support on new business initiatives
  • Ensure the smooth launch of campaigns and the continual improvement of performance; overseeing optimization and devising a structured test & learn strategy

Qualifications:
The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

  • 5+ years’ experience directly related to Paid Search, Search Engine Marketing (Google, Bing, etc.) with a focus on direct response campaigns (CPA, ROI, ROAS.)
  • 7-10+ years overall experience with digital media, search, SEO, SEM
  • Experience with Google Ads, Bing Ads, SearchAds360 (DoubleClick) etc.
  • Hands on experience managing online campaigns across a variety of vendors (i.e. Google, MSN, Yahoo, Facebook, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or other analytics platforms
  • Advanced Excel skills, and proficient in other MS office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate data clearly and effectively in person and in writing
  • Confidence in client facing meeting
  • Ability to train and manage individuals at multiple levels, from entry to manager level
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relates field
