Director of Rehabilitation & Occupational Therapy

Central California Minutes from Monterey & Wine Country

Director of Rehabilitation & Occupational Therapy Services

Hospital-Based Leadership Strategic Influence Program Ownership

What if you could lead rehabilitation services with real authority — not just manage schedules?

We’re partnering with a hospital in Central California, minutes from Monterey and wine country, seeking a Director-level therapy leader ready to shape clinical strategy, operational performance, and long-term program growth.

This is not a maintenance role.

This is a build, optimize, and elevate role.

Why Experienced Rehab Leaders Make This Move

  • Strategic seat at the table — partner directly with senior leadership
  • Authority over program direction, staffing models, and quality initiatives
  • Influence across disciplines and service lines
  • Ownership of metrics that matter — clinical outcomes, operational performance, and patient satisfaction
  • Lifestyle balance in one of California’s most desirable regions

If you’ve been operating within a corporate structure where decisions are handed down instead of shaped collaboratively, this environment offers something different: leadership autonomy with accountability.

The Opportunity

As Director of Rehabilitation & Occupational Therapy, you will:

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of rehabilitation and OT services
  • Oversee departmental operations: staffing, scheduling, workflow optimization
  • Drive performance measurement and continuous quality improvement
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and evidence-based clinical standards
  • Partner with executive leadership on budget planning and resource allocation
  • Develop and mentor high-performing therapy teams
  • Promote interdisciplinary integration to enhance patient outcomes

This role blends clinical credibility with administrative authority.

Ideal Profile

  • Active licensure in a therapy discipline (OT, PT, SLP or related)
  • Significant clinical foundation with progressive leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and improving performance metrics
  • Strong operational, financial, and strategic planning skills
  • Experience implementing quality improvement initiatives
  • Executive-level communication capability

We are seeking a leader who can think strategically while maintaining clinical integrity.
