Director Nursing Research Evidence Based Practice

They have engaged our firm to fill an immediate need for a seasoned SENIOR DIRECTOR to lead one of their most high profile and transformative departments.

Job Summary

Develops and executes the strategic plan for nursing science in collaboration with the Senior Director of Nursing Innovation and Advancement, members of the Department of Nursing, leadership of the Research Institute, other health care disciplines, academic partners, and patients/families. Ensures that all activities are aligned with organizational and departmental goals and strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic and operational oversight of the Center for Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice
  • Supports the nursing research strategic plan and integration with the Research Institutes strategic plan by ensuring annual goals are attained
  • Evaluates and builds an infrastructure that supports growth and national presence of nursing research, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Elevates the comprehensive pediatric nursing research program by providing leadership demonstrating applicability of nursing research to effective and efficient patient care delivery and patient care outcomes.
  • Provides oversight for the nursing research program, and seeks external funding to support nursing research activities. Conducts own program of research
  • Builds relationships internally and externally to facilitate nursing research opportunities, partnerships and funding sources. Ensures that nursing researchers are well integrated into existing research communities internally and externally.

Required Education and Experience:

Required Education:

  • Masters Degree in Pediatric Nursing, Maternal Child Health, Parent/Child Health, Family/Child Health, or related field required.
  • Doctorate required.

Required Experience:

  • At least five (5) years of nursing experience that includes clinical, research and progressive leadership experience.
  • An established program of research and evidence of scholarly publications is required.
  • Eligible for adjunct faculty appointment at accredited School(s) of Nursing.

Preferred Education, Experience Cert/Lic

Preferred Education:

  • Graduate degree in Pediatric Nursing or Maternal Child Health/Parent Child Health/Family Child Health
