Position Description:

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, is responsible for management of the Med Surg Department. Directs services of age appropriate activities and makes immediate administrative decisions within the scope of his/her responsibility utilizing standards of care and policies and procedures. May perform other duties that are relevant to the position and department, as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years of of preoperative required.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred.
• MUST have acute care experience.

Licenses/Certifications

• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which practices, in accordance with law and regulation required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS required.
