Director Inpatient Services - CLOSED

The director will collaborate with Clinical Director and the Director of Nursing in providing leadership and 24-hour oversight to the Inpatient Hospital, Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) and Partial Hospital programs.

SUPERVISION:

• Responsible for the supervision of hospital mental health workers, unit clerks, social workers, PRTF Clinical Director and Food Services department.
• Maintain a positive work environment to ensure high morale.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee programming and operations for the inpatient services, PRTF (working collaboratively with the Turning Point Clinical Director) and Partial Hospital.
  • Operation in a clinically sound manner
  • Achievement of positive clinical and patient satisfaction outcomes
  • Maintenance of budgeted level of occupancy or indicated adjustments
  • Sustain optimum level of staffing according to occupancy
  • Accountability of staff and fidelity of policies and procedures
  • Effective, meaningful, and quality patient care
• Work collaboratively to optimize and facilitate the admission process
• Work collaboratively to develop a cost effective inpatient hospital formulary
• Work collaboratively to oversee development and approval of policies, procedures and programs
• Responsible for implementing and assuring compliance of external entity’s regulations and requirements
• Establish and monitor provided services
• Communicate financial matters with leadership
• Supervise Food Services Director and provide oversight to the department

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in a health related field, Social Work or Nursing preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 3-5 years psychiatric experience in mental health setting
