Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of an industry-leading domestic & international freight forwarder and logistics provider offering multimodal transportation (air, ocean, rail, expedited, FTL, LTL) and warehousing & distribution services.

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial planning efforts, providing financial performance insights, and helping lead the implementation of new technology solutions. The successful individual will assist in driving the organization’s business by giving management and key stakeholders visibility on both the top and bottom lines through budgeting, financial reviews, sales analysis, and ad hoc reporting. Will coordinate and prepare monthly reports and forecasts, providing variance analyses and interacting with budget owners. Facilitates enterprise-wide strategic planning and annual budget processes. Develops financial models, projection models, and valuation models. Works cross functionally with Finance, Operations, Sales, and IT to build real time dashboards with financial and operational KPIs and support monthly MD&A to the management team and board. Identifies areas of weaknesses and opportunities through discussions with Sales & Operations, supports monthly customer and carrier QBRs, and lane levels RFP pricing processes. Implements, maintains, and improves reporting that conforms to FP&A data standardization requirements. Conducts due diligence and integration planning on potential acquisition opportunities.

Background Required:
  • FP&A or related experience (8-10 years)
  • Finance and Accounting management
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Data analytics, operational statistics, and metrics
  • Business planning and P/L analysis
  • Variance and key performance driver analysis
  • Monthly closing analysis and control
  • Exposure to financial systems and FP&A tools
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Computer systems: MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)
  • Education: BS or BA degree (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business or similar)
  • Location: Orlando, FL (will relocate)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management exposure
  • Experience working with high growth or private equity backed organizations
  • Acquisition process experience in M&A (e.g., LOI, due diligence, negotiations, integration)
  • Proactive and strategic counsel and operational insight to management
  • Advanced Degree/Certification: Master’s Degree, MBA, or CPA
