Director FP&A

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is a key leadership role responsible for managing the budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning processes. This position partners closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights that drive business decisions and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the FP&A function, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning, reporting, and analysis.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial models.

  • Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support growth initiatives, operational efficiency, and profitability.

  • Analyze business performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities; present findings and actionable recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Own the monthly management reporting process, including preparation of financial reports, variance analyses, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Partner with functional leaders across the organization to provide financial support and improve decision-making.

  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and systems (e.g., implement new planning software, streamline reporting).

  • Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence, modeling, and integration planning.

  • Develop, mentor, and manage a high-performing FP&A team.

  • Ensure financial compliance and alignment with corporate governance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

  • 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within FP&A.

  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial modeling.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial planning systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar).

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels of the organization.

  • High attention to detail, organization, and a strategic mindset.
