Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Enterprise Sales Leader
The Director Sales, Dedicated Contract Carriage is a hunter who hunts for new dedicated contract carriage opportunities. The goal is to generate $6 to $8 million dollars of dedicated business annually. Develops and maintains the Dedicated sales strategy, including standardized proposals aligned with the overall company growth strategy. Provides clear and concise direction to maximize sales potential. Monitors industry trends and identify opportunities and threats. Creates and maintains an ongoing monthly quarterly customer dashboard reporting system. Proactively engages executive sponsors to build a strategic relationship and favorably position long-term business opportunities. Drives integrates planning and execution with the operations teams within the organization to ensure aligned client engagement and service. Interfaces with both internal and external industry vertical experts to anticipate changing client needs and facilitate solution development. Identifies, nurtures, and supports the delivery of new solution opportunities that result in substantial growth in market share, revenues, and margin. Additionally, ensures movement of opportunities to close, as well as to develop pipeline activity within the Dedicated U.S. operations team. Engages internal partners effectively to improve win rates for the Dedicated sales team and delivery of selected deals. Meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue sales objectives. Acts as a representative of the company at industry events to network with industry leaders and prospect possible business opportunities, including potential speaking engagements. Advocates for customers and help drive a customer service mentality within the company. Utilizes superior communications skills to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, managers, and clients. Develops, implements, and tracks sales metrics on a regular basis for visual understanding of performance against plan elements. Requires up to 50 % travel.

- Dedicated Contract Carriage Sales - DCC (6-8 years)
- Proven hunter sales mentality
- Time & territory management reporting process
- Proven track record of producing profitable growth
- National account experience
- Pricing logic & analysis
- Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Residence Chicago, IL (home office environment)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (i.e., Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation)
- Excellent communications (i.e., verbal, written, presentations)
- Strong business acumen
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Sound decision-making
- Ability to close and maintain deals
