Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Dedicated Sales of an industry leader in dedicated service, safety and efficiency that reduces costs, optimizes utilization, and relieves clients from the added expense and burden of equipment, labor, logistics, liability, insurance, and regulatory reporting issues. This privately held company operates out of 60+ locations across the country with over 2,700 trucks, 5,000 trailers and 2,850 drivers.
The Director, DCC Sales is responsible for the sales of dedicated contract carriage and managing a lead prospecting pipeline and mining accurate information about prospects and their companies. Closing business is the primary responsibility of this position, which also includes prospecting for customers using business directories, internal leads, and leads from existing customers along with maintaining assigned house accounts. The Director, DCC Sales also monitors market and industry conditions as well as competitors services and prices. You will also be responsible for negotiating and quoting rates with customers and discusses traffic lanes, including preparation of RFP’s, bids, and sales/capabilities presentations. Other expectations - Maintaining an effective territory plan to include cold calls to maximize and leverage the market. You will also be involved in conducting quarterly business reviews with customers discussing KPIs and service. The agility to adjust sales scripts, as needed, to better target the needs and interests of specific customers is a must. You will also work closely and collaboratively with other members of the sales team to ensure overall company success and will participate in company meetings and marketing events. Requires up to 50 % travel.

Background Required:
- Transportation sales executive (5 years)
- Proven hunter sales mentality
- Time & territory management reporting process
- Proven track record of producing profitable growth
- National account experience
- Pricing logic & analysis
- Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Residence: Prefer corporate office in St Louis, but will consider work from current residence
