Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO for an e-commerce parcel carrier. Seeks to empower merchants to deliver a hospitality mindset which helps sellers create lasting relationship with customers. Supports an ever-expanding list of acquisitions and strategic investments in disruptive industries and growing markets. Their unique approach allows small, medium and even large ecommerce shippers to get the best combination of price and service across a wide network of United States Post Office workshare partners–including their own
The Director, California Operations will join the team as an individual contributor based in Southern California which will oversee multiple sort operations in California. The ideal candidate must be a team player with a passion for innovation and the desire to partner with a business to achieve outstanding results. They will be a dynamic and thoughtful leader with the ability to ensure outstanding customer experience by helping with strategy, planning, designing and implementing process, executing all aspects of day to day operations including P&L oversight. Goals are to ensure outstanding service performance, control costs, meet organizational objectives for performance, margin management, yield and claims as well as help recruit, train and retain talent among other priorities. Travel no more than 25%.

Background Required:
  • Operations leadership (Director, Regional, General Manager or Operations management) (5 Yrs)
  • Local operations knowledge (California market)
  • P&L management
  • Project management
  • Set, execute, and meet key performance indicators weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel (expert), Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook. Data Base Management.
  • Education: High school diploma
  • Residence: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • NPI XTream Sort Machine
  • Leadership in mail, small parcel, or LTL operations (5 yrs)
  • Strong problem solver skills when dealing with sensitive & confidential information
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
