Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer for one of the fastest growing third party logistics organizations offering valued added services in both warehousing and transportation.
Responsible for the proactive development and signing of profitable new business, additional business, and limited participation in startups and transition of project management to a permanent management team. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, negotiation, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Challenge is to expand account base, pursue and close new business, increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Third Party Logistics Business Development selling contractual Transportation Management (5 years)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • National Accounts Exposure
  • Sector/Vertical’s (Consumer Goods, Retail, Food)
  • Project Management (lead pursuit team)
  • Computer proficient (Office suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Proven negotiation’s ability
  • Location: Home Office
  • Travel: 25-50%
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Solution Design & Pricing
  • Supply Chain Management software (TMS)
  • Education: College Graduate-BA or BS (Logistics, Marketing)
