Position Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Vice President Sales, Dedicated, with a nationwide transportation and logistics organization Services include Dedicated Contract Carriage. Expedited Truckload, Brokerage, Warehousing, Third Party Logistics and Transportation. Will be responsible for the growth of dedicated contract carriage business development including signing of profitable new business, additional business, contract renewals, and maintaining current accounts. Oversees the complete dedicated sales cycle process including suspect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), start-up with implementation group and customer service follow-up after the sale. As part of the candidate’s role, will work with the company’s operational team on continuous improvement initiatives. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximizes profitability.

Background Required:

  • Dedicated Contract Carriage Sales in the Southeast, Midwest or Northeast region (5 years)
  • Qualify DCC Prospective Clients
  • Demonstrated closing of accounts
  • National Account Management
  • Pricing Exposure
  • Time & Territory Management Reporting Processes, CRM (i.e. Sales Force)
  • Residence: Home Office Environment (Midwest, Southeast, Southwest)

Background Preferred (but not required):

  • Operations
  • Familiarity with information technology applications
  • P&L Experience
  • Education: College Graduate (BA or BS)
