This hospital is a not-for-profit, 250+bed tertiary medical facility that is part of a 3 hospital system in the area.

They are looking for a Director of Behavioral Health to join their busy team environment and be an interactive leader and help develop relationships among nursing personnel and others within the hospital.

The Director of Behavioral Health is accountable and responsible for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care in the Behavioral Health department. Oversees daily operations. This includes overall direction of clinical, human resources, and financial management. Responsible for the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, and budgeting. May oversee pre- and post-operative care of patients. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Requirements:

·        BSN

·        RN license in the State of NY

·        3+ years experience in Acute Care Behavioral/Psych leadership

·        BLS and ACLS
