Director of Quality – Acute Care Hospital

Location: Southern New Mexico Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt Setting: 199-Bed Acute Care Teaching Hospital

What You’ll Do

  • Direct all aspects of hospital-wide quality, infection prevention, and compliance

  • Lead survey preparation for TJC, CMS, state audits, and certifications

  • Mentor and develop the quality and clinical excellence team

  • Analyze, report, and act on performance improvement data

  • Guide culture-shaping initiatives focused on safety and satisfaction

  • Collaborate with clinical and executive leadership to drive sustainable outcomes


What You’ll Need

  • BSN required; MSN, MHA, or MBA strongly preferred

  • Current RN license in the state of New Mexico (or compact eligible)

  • Minimum 7 years of healthcare experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role

  • Experience in for-profit hospital systems preferred

  • Proven success with quality programs, survey readiness, and team leadership

  • Strong communication, budgeting, and strategic planning skills
