Providence is calling a Director of Quality Management and Medical Staff Services to work at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:
  • Provide administrative leadership for planning, developing and implementing Quality Management, Medical Staff Services, and Risk Management programs.
  • Serve as the liaison to external agencies such as the Joint Commission, Livant/QIO, Oregon Health Authority, and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
  • Be an active participant of a dynamic leadership team for the Oregon Region Quality Management & Medical Staff Services Division.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
  • Bachelors degree in nursing

  • Current, unencumbered Oregon state RN license

  • 10 years of experience clinical nursing -with- 5 years in acute care setting

  • 5 years of experience in progressive leadership and management roles

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
  • Masters Degree in nursing, public health, business, business or healthcare administration, or enrolled in a masters level program
  • Certified Healthcare Quality Professional or Certified Joint Commission Professional

What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements on this position?
Must have a BSN Must have a current, unencumbered OR state license or the ability to get one before hire. Must have 10 years of experience clinical nursing with 5 years of that time in an acute care setting Must have 5 years of experience in progressive leadership and management roles Must have a solid quality background - know how to plan, direct and supervise the activities of quality, resource and risk management and performance improvement programs Must have experience with external agencies such as the Joint Commission and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Must have experience working in a moderate to large hospital setting
