Your Career

We are currently seeking a Director – Sales, Service Providers, East, to play a key role in driving revenue with operators in the Eastern Region. The selected candidate will have extensive experience with Verizon, as well as, working with other large carrier accounts. Reporting to the VP of Service Providers, you will be responsible for building and maintaining effective customer relationships, which includes establishing a detailed strategy and execution plans, networking at all levels within an organization up to Executive Level and maximizing the opportunity using technical knowledge and appropriate sales techniques. In addition, the successful candidate will be involved in identifying, managing, and closing new business that provides telecommunications software and services within the targeted accounts. This person will actively participate in all significant sales and marketing plans and work closely with the VP of Service Providers to expand their base of business within their accounts and overall marketplace.

Your Impact

  • Identify, create, negotiate and close significant deals with large and unique customer opportunities.
  • Manage the territory including identification of sales opportunities and convert those opportunities by closing new accounts to meet established revenue generation goals.
  • Manage existing accounts by enhancing relationships and driving new business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies while keeping short and long term goals in perspective.
  • Drive internal teams responding to RFP/RFQs and provide input to facilitate successful business.
  • Develop technical and commercial solutions that result in competitive business closure.
  • Taking a prospect from trial to launch in a meaningful timeframe; understanding the process and leading the team from beginning to end while working with multiple groups within the customer.

Your Experience

  • A minimum of 8+ years’ progressive successful experience in sales with an emphasis on selling Software Networking Solutions into customer accounts.
  • Ability to creatively solve complex or unique opportunities and drive them to success.
  • Comfortable working with larger customers in new business models.
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of the technology that underpins the solutions we sell.
  • Familiarity with SAAS and cloud software models.
  • Experience selling into Carriers, System Integrators and/or MSP’s. Familiarity with the OEM eco-system a plus.
  • Experience with salesforce.com; forecasting and other analyses as required.
  • The ability to create, develop and sustain relationships at the Executive levels of prospective client companies.
  • Proven capability to develop and manage sales opportunities from beginning to end, including qualification proposal creation, negotiation and closing.
  • The ability to excel in a growth-minded, fast-paced, team environment with a passion for selling and customer focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills as well as being an aggressive go-getter with high energy levels and an inherent hunger for sales.
  • BA/BSc (MBA/MSc would be advantageous) ,
  • Proven experience of developing and maintaining a solid customer base and executive level relationships as well as high level partner alliances.
