Service Center Manager – Civil Engineering
Join a dynamic engineering team in the Las Vegas metro area (Henderson, NV) where you’ll take the lead of a civil engineering service center, drive business development, build teams and deliver meaningful infrastructure solutions.
What you’ll do:

Plan, organize and oversee all activities of the service center: operations, business development, staffing, project delivery and client relationship management.

Lead the civil engineering department: mentor engineers, designers, interns and other staff; provide coaching and development; foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.

Identify, develop and manage client relationships—both maintaining existing accounts and securing new work to expand the service center’s footprint.

Oversee project production and quality: ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule and budget; review proposals, track key performance indicators (KPIs), coordinate cross-department resources and monitor operational effectiveness.

Serve as the entrepreneurial face of the service center: collaborate with the vice president or senior leadership as a trusted advisor; analyze business performance, trouble-shoot challenges and implement strategic improvements.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety plans and project safety protocols while maintaining high standards of client service, team morale and operational excellence.
What you bring:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) along with a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Nevada.

10+ years of experience in civil engineering projects—demonstrated expertise across water, sewer, grading/drainage, transportation and land-development.

Proven business development prowess: ability to win new projects, nurture client relationships and grow revenue.

Strong leadership, mentoring and team-building skills—comfortable managing staff at multiple levels (intern to PE) and driving performance.

Effective communication skills—both verbal and written—capable of collaborating with clients, internal departments and project teams.

High level of organization, attention to project detail (scope, schedule, budget) and ability to manage multiple priorities.

A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset—eager to lead a service center as a business within a business and help shape its growth.
