Due to growth we are looking for a Diesel Mechanics to work in our BRAND NEW MAINTENANCE FACILITY in the Searcy, AR location.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay is $20.00-$28.00 per hour, based on qualifications.
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week.
  • Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week.
  • Weekly paychecks.

Work Schedule:
  • 4-day work week (Off Tues or Wed and weekends).
  • Rotate 1 weekend per month with other drivers (4-hours on Saturday and/or Sunday).
  • Typically work 10-hour shifts, 6:00am-4:30pm; work until work is completed.
  • Work inside, in a BRAND NEW MAINTENANCE FACILITY with heat and air conditioning.
  • Schedule flexibility may be available based on candidate's needs.
  • Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks.
  • Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals.
  • Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations).
  • Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working on air brakes.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing preventative maintenance program on diesel engines.
  • Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair.
  • Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections.
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
  • Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
  • Must have a valid and current US driver's license; no CDL required.
