Job Description
A growing packaging manufacturer is seeking a skilled and dedicated Die Cutter Operator to join their team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating die cutting equipment, a solid mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality finished products.
Schedule:
2nd Shift Monday–Friday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:

Set up, adjust, and operate die cutting machines according to job specifications

Perform job changeovers, dismantling prior setup and logging all relevant details (e.g., date, press number, chase number)

Pull and inspect samples for quality and accuracy, including gluing set checks

Monitor production throughout the run and troubleshoot as needed

Ensure quality and precision of all die cut finished products

Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on die cutting equipment

Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols

Operate with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced production environment

Collaborate with team members and demonstrate a strong team-oriented attitude
Qualifications:

2–5 years of experience as a die cutting pressman (printing/packaging industry preferred)

Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Excellent attention to detail and close vision accuracy

Strong basic math skills

Reliable, safety-conscious, and quality-focused

People-oriented with a collaborative mindset
