SG2 Recruiting is supporting Burnt Toast Labs, a Reston, VA federal contracting organization, to identify DevOps engineers to join their team in a direct-hire capacity. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership for the development and implementation of a continuous integration and delivery infrastructure in an OpenShift environment. You will be responsible for implementing tools in this space along with helping onboard internal software development teams so that they can effectively utilize the available tools to create automated CICD pipelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing, configuring and managing the standardized common pipeline while providing development expertise and innovative concepts to internal software development teams on restructuring their applications to fit into a continuous deployment model.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI US Government Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a poly
  • 6 months plus of DevOps experience
  • Hands-on experience implementing infrastructure pipelines in virtual environments using the following technologies: Linux command line, OpenShift, GitLab, Jenkins, JIRA, Docker, Nexus, SonarQube
  • AWS Experience: EC2, Lambda, S3, ElastiCache, RDS, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, Cloudform, Amplify, SageMaker, API Gateway
  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining software development team deployment pipelines that automate the build, test and deploy environment
  • Demonstrated passion regarding relevant technical trends, experimentation and knowledge assimilation
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently using Agile software development and other best practice methodologies
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve continuous integration and continuous delivery cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to build and maintain tools that make our process more efficient, simpler, and faster including the development of monitoring solutions that alert error conditions and sub-optimal performance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with leadership and clients to identify and revise approaches
  • Experience providing technical direction and guidance regarding design and implementation
  • Experience assisting with and/or coordinating the activities of others to meet over-arching client program requirements
  • Experience developing and delivering formal customer presentations and proposals
  • Experience coordinating project status with highly technical stake holders, technical managers and government leaders
