DevOps Manager
Novacoast Staffing is currently working with a healthcare/ tech client in its search for an experienced DevOps Manager. The Manager, Cloud Automation & Engineering (DevOps) manages and oversees the Cloud Automaton, Engineering & DevOps team. The preferred location for this position is Irvine CA, though remote will be considered for the right candidate. Salary range - 130K-160K Annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, builds, and maintains a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across production, QA, and Dev environments.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous integration, packaging, and deployment of code.
- Implements automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, monitoring, creating and standardizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Will be responsible for monitoring server and application performance using one or more Application Performance Monitoring tools: New Relic, Dynatrace, App dynamics.
- Will be responsible for CI/CD pipeline build, improvement, and management.
- Design, build, and deliver cloud computing solutions, hosted services, and underlying software infrastructure.
- Take full ownership of the DevOps discipline and be responsible for managing all server/infrastructure related issues.
- Must exhibit a high-level end-to-end understanding of web application design, construction, testing, deployment, and delivery.
Required Skills:
- Experience creating automation templates, standards and out of the box tools to create a consistent DevOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions.
- Knowledge of deployment/configuration management tools like Atlassian Bitbucket Pipelines, Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, HashiCorp Terraform, or Ansible is required.
- Utilizes version control tools like GIT, Bitbucket and AWS CodeDeploy.
- Experienced with core cloud infrastructure especially AWS, Azure.
- Knowledge of auto-scaling, self-updating, self-repairing, including managing change control and configuration management.
- Knowledge of core network infrastructure, database, cloud and data center operations. Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows OS. Experience with programming and scripting with languages like Python, Perl, Bash, PHP, Java, SQL, or C#.
- Configuration, optimization, documentation, and support of the infrastructure components of PDS applications which are hosted in cloud services such as AWS, Azure.
- Knowledge of Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Search, AWS OpenSearch, CloudWatch Dashboards, etc.
- Experience in Docker Containers, automating container image creation process, build and deployment in a container environment.
- Should have familiarity with Relational database and NoSQL database.
- Should be able to investigate & perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on users reported issues and suggest workarounds before implementing the permanent fix.
- Ability to work in both Agile or Waterfall software development environments.
- Passion for building DevOps solutions with state-of-the-art technology.
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from an accredited college, and 5+ years of related experience. In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Experience in the dental industry or healthcare/multi-unit retail industry.
- 6+ years’ experience with a large EHR or PMS System such as Dentrix, Epic, Cerner.
