Our Client located in Newmarket is looking for Level 1 Desktop Support Specialist. The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

Job Details:
• Helping other system administrators by taking over Level 1 tickets and resolving them or escalating them when necessary
• Monitor system alerts and provide follow-up if required
• This role may require some on-call, occasional weekend work as customer upgrades may be performed during such times
• Document in detail situations and resolution, this can also apply to creating new SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

Technical Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a Helpdesk or Desktop support role resolving Level 1 issues and escalating tickets when necessary
• Previous experience adding/removing and setting up users in active directory
• Experience with MS Servers 2008 or 2012 or 2016
• Experience with setting up and troubleshooting printer issues and application issues
• Previous experience troubleshooting hardware, performing upgrades and updates on Windows 7/10 and Desktop machines/servers
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V
• Experience with troubleshooting and email setup of Office365
• Knowledge/ experience of routers, switches and firewalls including Meraki Firewalls, Cisco,
