Job Description

Our client is recruiting Desktop Engineers to help service their growing customer base and help them solve technical problems.

The job purpose includes management of end-user computing devices e.g., desktops, thin clients, laptops, printers, scanners, MFP’s and assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and implementing corrective and preventive actions or steps for resolution for end user devices.

  • Desktop / laptop reimaging when required and resolve end-user issues
  • Ensure end user machines are compliant against identified controls
  • Support staff should be skilled to get on call with clients, business, and OEMs for technical support
  • Take ownership of all the single user incidents, keep the - tickets updated till those are resolved
  • Install keyboard, mouse, and re-install any existing peripherals
  • Connect the system to a properly terminated network connection
  • Check for proper boot-up procedure
  • Check for proper operation of system as per standard checklist
  • Configure the desktop/laptop (network settings, e-mail client) as per standard checklist
  • Print a test page to each network printer where applicable
Minimum qualifications:
  • Good written and verbal communication in English
  • Good Basic Technical Knowledge on Desktops/Laptops
  • Customer Centric approach
  • Basic Business Etiquette
  • Understanding of Incident Management processes
  • Min 12 months of Experience
  • Minimum one relevant certification such as A+ / Comp-TIA
Salary between:
  • R7,000 – R10,000 per month based on experience

Working Hours:
  • 24/7 rotational shifts

Starting date - Immediately
