Design and optimize refrigeration systems of varying complexity – from small self-contained systems utilizing natural refrigerants, to large retail applications utilizing remote units.
Determine needed system capacities, perform calculations for factors such as loads and piping sizes. Integrate refrigeration systems into product designs.
Utilize engineering software to lay out designs for systems, components, structural members, piping schematics, wiring diagrams, and other items as necessary in the work.
Use sheet metal design skills to develop new products and improve existing products with emphasis on aesthetic design and manufacturability.
Work with lab technicians through all stages of testing and development to ensure projects are meeting design criteria and timelines.
Work with production to solve immediate issues that arise in manufacturing along with assisting technical service department on "non-typical" calls. Daily service calls are not to be expected, however; when unusual issues arise, the candidate should be willing and able to step in and take charge in finding cause and solution.
Assist with product literature, technical literature, and manuals to assure consistency with other literature. Writes technical data for specification sheets, price lists and product catalogs.
Seek input on refrigeration marketplace needs and trends from internal and external sources.
