We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Defense Attorney specializing in General Liability to join our mid-sized law firm, recognized for its leadership and innovation in the legal field. This position is based in our Uniondale office but offers a flexible hybrid work environment. The successful candidate will handle a variety of responsibilities including analysis, communication, and case resolution in a dynamic setting, contributing to our reputation for excellence in client services.

Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze legal issues and develop strategic solutions.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with claims professionals.
• Maintain detailed records of communication and case developments.
• Prepare legal pleadings, motions, and other case-related documents.
• Conduct depositions and represent clients in court.
• Assist in resolving cases efficiently to minimize court time and costs.
• Trial preparation and active participation in trial proceedings.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the New York Bar.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in general liability defense.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trial experience is highly valued.
• Experience in high-volume case handling.
• Proven track record of favorable settlements and verdicts.
• Skills in negotiation and mediation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
