Deburr

Seeking experience deburr candidates for a local machine shop.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Grinds, files, sands and polishes metal surfaces to a specified shape and smoothness using grinding hand tools.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Lifts and positions metal parts on bench.
• Removes burrs and smoothes contoured surfaces with powered tools.
• Verifies dimensions and radii, using micrometers, dial indicators and calipers.
• Inspects and measures parts.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience (1 to 3 years) in deburring Aerospace parts preferred but not required.
• Previous experience reading blueprints helpful.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
• Able to exert 20 to 50 lbs. of force frequently
• Subject to high noise levels from operating machines
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
• Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
• Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid.

Hours: Mon. - Fri., 5:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
