About you
To be considered, you will need:
- Experience reviewing and aligning relational databases, schemas, and logic models
- Knowledge of developing relational databases, including prototypes and integration with existing systems
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI to link databases into dashboards
- Skills in importing and linking data using unique identifiers across multiple systems
- Ability to create training materials, such as guidance documents, metadata, and maintenance procedures
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for database performance issues
- [Optional] Experience working in the federal government, particularly with departments managing grants and contributions
About the role
If hired, you will:
- Review existing relational databases, schemas, logic models, and information tracking spreadsheets to assess alignment
- Collaborate with teams to rectify alignment issues between existing systems and new requirements
- Develop and test a complementary relational database prototype for data that does not align with current systems
- Import, link, and integrate spreadsheet data into relational databases using unique identifiers
- Link the database into a dashboard, such as Power BI, for a user-friendly front end
- Provide training and documentation for team members, including an in-depth training session and a comprehensive guidance document covering metadata, maintenance, and common commands
