The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for uploading claim specific documentation to the correct account to assist in the follow-up team in achieving payment on the claim or provide details regarding received payment on the account to the Cash Posting team.
The Data Entry Specialist will review the documentation received from insurance carriers, patients, and the provider, transition it to electronic format if not already electronic, and link it to the appropriate account. Additional responsibilities include packaging and sending medical records to the provider and/or payer, facilitating the sending of technical and clinical appeal letters, and documenting details regarding this transmission of information as applicable. Following these activities, the Specialist will note all accounts appropriately per the objective quality standard.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor degree in a related field, preferred.
