Data Center Cx Technician

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting commissioning activities, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Focus:

  • Execute commissioning procedures for various mechanical and electrical systems within data center environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to verify system functionality and adherence to design requirements.
  • Identify, document, and resolve any issues that arise during the commissioning process.
  • Ensure all systems meet industry regulations, client expectations, and energy efficiency guidelines.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and reporting on system performance.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Travel to client sites as required to perform commissioning duties.

Skill Set:

  • 1-3+ years of hands-on commissioning experience in commercial or industrial facilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Completion of the OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety training program is desirable, although not a requirement.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • This role involves frequent travel, with approximately half to two-thirds of worktime spent on the road.
  • Strong foundational understanding of engineering principles, particularly within built environments.
  • Familiarity with local energy codes and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively navigate sensitive interactions.
